- This system is a reliable workhorse! I use it every day for cutting multiple layers of plastic stencils. Also cuts 1/4 Baltic birch. I have bed panels for metal cutting you can have but they were from an older Kern Laser. You would need to talk to Kern about fitting this out for metal cutting. I do not have the two blowers for this unit as we used our own system. Including a NEW 50x52 Aluminum Honeycomb
